Who this is for
Board-certified physicians and other qualified reviewers who want independent review work with a defined clinical question.
- Specialty fit should be explicit. A general “all specialties” claim is not something we will make.
- Conflict-of-interest rules need to be written down before a reviewer sees a file — not invented after the fact.
- Outcome quotas and volume contests are a poor reason to join a review panel. ArkMedis does not use them.
- As of September 2026, Internal Medicine is the specialty we can staff. Other specialties are still building.
What ArkMedis does for you
- Review assignments only when specialty, license, and conflict screening line up with the clinical question.
- Medical Director oversight of the network. The public matrix is on Specialties.
- Secure case upload is available for authorized portal users (Business, Provider, and Admin) after MFA: a verified email and a second factor, with an authenticator preferred and US SMS supported. ArkMedis will review and process submitted cases after Texas Department of Insurance Independent Review Organization certification is issued. The application is filed and in process. Certification is not active. Send case PHI only through the portal vault. Do not send PHI by email or fax. Download of stored files is not available yet.
- Clear separation from plan clients. Reviewers are not asked to produce a preferred denial or approval rate.
This page is not a promise of case volume. We do not publish a reviewer headcount.
How intake works
Write us without PHI
Use Contact (non-PHI). Specialty and license state are enough to start. NPI is optional — leave it blank if you prefer. Do not include patient information, case narratives, or records.
We say honestly if we can use the specialty
Internal Medicine is Available via Medical Director oversight. If your specialty is still Building, we will say so rather than collect a résumé into a fake directory.
Case files stay in the portal

Independence and conflict of interest
Reviewers work under the same rules as the organization: documented conflict screening, specialty match, and a written rationale. Compensation is not tied to the determination. If a conflict exists, the reviewer does not take the case.
ArkMedis is physician-owned and for-profit. Leadership titles on the public site are President and Medical Director. Texas TDI IRO status is applicant, not certified.
