ArkMedis is a physician-owned Independent Review Organization. An MD Medical Director is accountable for the clinical path — not a staffing bench we rent out.

Internal Medicine is the specialty we can staff today. The nationwide reviewer network is growing. We do not inflate headcount to look finished.

What does ArkMedis review for a health plan?
Independent medical necessity review and appeal support, with a written clinical rationale. Scope is confirmed before any file moves. We do not publish accuracy rates or savings figures.
Are you a certified IRO, or accredited by URAC or NCQA?
No. See the Texas Department of Insurance status on this page: the application is filed, certification is not active, and review of submitted cases starts after certification. We do not claim URAC, NCQA, HITRUST, NAIRO, SOC 2, licenses in all 50 states, or certified IRO status.
Do you staff on-demand medical directors or provide legal services?
No. An MD Medical Director is accountable for ArkMedis determinations — specialty match, conflict-of-interest screening, and the written rationale. That is oversight of our review, not a staffing product and not attorney representation.
Do you review workers’ compensation, or sell consulting and UM software?
No. Workers’ compensation review, independent medical examinations, PBM review, LTD review, payment integrity, and federal independent dispute resolution are not current products. Accreditation consulting and proprietary utilization-management software are not offered.
How should a plan send records?
Do not send PHI by email or fax. Authorized users upload a case file in the portal after MFA (verified email and a second factor). Download of stored files is not available yet.
Which specialties can you staff?
As of September 2026, Internal Medicine is Available under Medical Director oversight. Other specialties are Building. We do not publish a reviewer headcount, and we decline a question we cannot staff.
What turnaround time do you guarantee?
None on this site. Standard or rush handling is confirmed at intake for each file. We do not publish hour counts, day guarantees, or completion percentages.
Where does ArkMedis operate, and can a TPA or self-funded plan use the same path?
National positioning for health plans, TPAs, and self-funded sponsors, with the primary office in Houston. That is not an external-review license in every state. TPAs and self-funded employers use the same clinical review. Scope is confirmed at engagement.
